I first came across the Lock'n'Haul outboard supports in 2013 on a fishing forum website. The unit looked good and I was keen to stabilize the Evinrude G1 150 hp outboard on my Pioneer Cape Island 186 bay boat. I had noticed that the outboard moved around while I was towing the boat. I purchased the unit in 2013. The Lock'n'Haul made the outboard very stable for towing on the highway. I am still using the same unit.
In late 2016 l committed to an Evinrude G2 200 hp outboard for my 1999 6.4 m Sportfish plate alloy fishing boat. I made some enquiries and Mike told me that a new design specifically for the G2 outboards was in the works. My new outboard was installed in February 2017 and the new Lock'n'Haul unit arrived from Mike around the time.
On the G2 outboards, when the battery is switched on, the outboard's internal power steering holds it it place. When the battery is switched off, gravity takes over.
In my haste to fit the unit, I damaged the crossbar (totally my fault). Mike was good enough to exchange the unit for me.
I am very happy with the outcome and with the Lock'n'Haul unit.

Hi Mike, I was in the market for a device that supported my Yamaha 175 VMax outboard, as I was noticing movement while towing. I looked at numerous different types through standard retail outlets, but none were suitable for my outboard and trailer setup. I came across the Lock n Haul Universal and immediately thought this product looked great, following some research. It was easy to adjust and fitting took less than a minute. I now have no outboard movement while towing and the engine stays straight.
You were more than helpful over the phone and by email and I would have no trouble recommending this product.

G'day all, after searching everywhere for a robust solution, i just wanted to say how happy i am i found Lock-n-Haul and compliment you for the quality of the Universal transom saver support product. This device is so tuff and on a recent trip locked my Suzuki 150hp engine down so tight it has saved what i think would almost certainly otherwise have been significant damage to my outboard and or boat transom going through some really bad gravel road conditions including corrugations up here in remote Queensland on a recent fishing trip around the Gulf. It is a great design and product which adapted so easily, i am wrapped that i found it, well done and thanks for the overdue solution.

Mike, I would like to offer a few words of feedback regarding the Lock-n-Haul which I purchased from you 6 months ago to support my Evinrude G2 250HO on the rear of my 20ft Skeeter hull. The Lock-n-Haul G2-2 bracket has been brilliant, over the past 6 months the boat has been towed thousands of kms between the freshwater impoundments of NSW and let me tell you - the roads aren't the best. The G2-2 bracket is fast to install, keeps the motor travelling straight and supports the motor weight perfectly to the transom.
Big boats, big motors and bad roads are not a good mix, however the Lock-n-Haul G2-2 bracket has done the kms to prove its a great solution.
